Pony Pals & Pages
A reading program that makes reading fun
The facilitators of Pony Pals & Pages are certified through Horse Powered Reading and will provide a fun, judgment free atmosphere to support children who struggle with reading. Though the session covers the mechanics of reading, they also tackle a less obvious component of literacy, dismantling the emotional barriers that come with the struggle of reading. Horse Powered Reading is a science based program designed to harness students innate curiosity and drive.

How it Works

Pony Pals
Sessions are run during the summer and readers attend once a week for one hour. The interactive sessions engage readers in activities using props that facilitate learning and exploration. Interacting with their reading partner, the horse, students and facilitators gain valuable insight into their inner experiences and learning patterns.

ABC Camp
Social-emotional issues, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns often get in the way of a students learning.
Horse Powered Reading® can break through those challenges giving students a chance to learn or reinforce reading and other academic skills in the moment.
This unique camp is designed to help emerging readers ages 5-7 to learn or review alphabet letters and sounds in a fun, hands-on environment. Through engaging activities, movement-based games, and interaction with horses, children build confidence while developing the foundational skills they need for reading success.
Your child will head into the school year with a stronger understanding of the alphabet and increased confidence in their reading journey!
