Lyle has also been known as Trumpet due to the way he neighs. It sounds more like one note of a trumpet than a horse. He calls back when you call for him and "trumpets" to let you know where he is at breakfast lunch, and dinner.

Almost everywhere Lyle goes, so does his buddy Tucker. These two ponies do almost everything together.

Lyle also known as "Trumpet" or the "Carousel Pony" came to Courage Rock in the spring of 2023 with the Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center who moved here so the founder could retire. Since then, Therapeion has a permanent home here at the Rock and will forever be Therapeion as a riding program for children and adults with disabilities, condition, or diagnosis.

Lyle joined Therapeion in 2008. He is a handsome boy and all the kids love him. Lyle is able to challenge his riders that need challenged. Lyle is an invaluable member of our equine team! He won horse of the year at Therapeion in 2014.

Lyle is extremely dependable and has even been used in hippotherapy classes. Hippotherapy is a physical, occupational, and speech therapy that utilizes the natural gait and movement of a horse to provide motor, and sensory input. It is based on improvement of neurologic functions, and sensory processes, and used for patients with physical, and mental disorders.

Our Mission is to engage and develop the relationship between humans and the therapeutic energy of a horse to strengthen the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of ones life.
